Approaching Condon on Highway 206, the horizon is filled with tall, sleek windmills. The Wind Farm was finished in 2002, and the 83 windmills supply between 18 and 50 MegaWatts of environmentally-clean power to the area. The construction of the Farm provided an injection of around $500,000 into the local economy, and yearly maintenance and property taxes add another $700,000 to the area. Two viewpoints allow curious drivers to pull over and see the amazing windmills up close.
